Plot Summary:

M. S. Gandhi and his colleagues Sunil Thiagarajan, Kalyan Sundaram, and Ajay Govindharaj form the Special Anti-Terrorism Squad (SATS), which intercepts terrorist Omar in Kenya in 2008 in order to obtain uranium from him. The same train also has their previous boss, Rajiv Menon, who is fleeing after being accused of treason. Assuming that Menon and everyone else on the train have perished, they subsequently take the uranium from Menon and demolish the train. Consequently, the group conceals their true employment from their families by living undercover as travel agency workers back in Delhi. Eventually, Gandhi, his six-year-old son Jeevan, and his pregnant wife Anuradha “Anu” reside together.

When Gandhi is given a new mission in Bangkok, he brings his family along to allay Anu’s fears of adultery. Gandhi and his family are ambushed once the mission is over, causing Anu to give birth and Jeevan to vanish for no apparent reason. Gandhi is distraught when the police discover a burned body they suspect to be Jeevan’s. After giving birth to a daughter, Anu becomes distraught and stops talking to Gandhi.

Later on, Gandhi left the team in 2024 and is now employed at Chennai International Airport as an immigration officer. Meanwhile, their daughter, Jeevitha, lives with Anu, while he and Anu live apart. In the meantime, Gandhi’s old boss Nazeer invites Kalyan to travel to Moscow to train new officials in the Indian Embassy, which has reopened, at Kalyan’s recommendation. Gandhi reluctantly consents, but a gang attacks the embassy while he is there. After fending them off, Gandhi is startled to notice a juvenile doppelgänger among the attackers.

When he assists him in repelling the assailants, he confirms that it is Jeevan. Declaring that the material is too sensitive to discuss over the phone, Nazeer summons Gandhi to the Chennai Metro station for an urgent meeting. Unfortunately, A man in a mask attacks Nazeer. Gandhi makes there in time to repel the assailant, but the masked man—later identified as Jeevan—kills Nazeer.

To find out who is attempting to endanger their agency, Gandhi subsequently rejoins the SATS team. Particularly, all of the information concerning Jeevan and his Moscow gang is on Nazeer’s phone. When Nazeer dropped the phone in the Metro station, Jeevan’s accomplice Sha picked it up. However, Sha tells Jeevan that the phone disappeared. Finally, it turns out that Jeevan has been employed by Menon for a long time and that he has a specific purpose for visiting Gandhi’s household.

It is also disclosed that Menon lost his wife and kids in the 2008 train disaster, but he survived. Subsequently, seeking retribution, he followed Gandhi to Bangkok, abducted Jeevan, and terrorized him by locking him up in a juvenile detention center. After gaining Jeevan’s trust and renaming him Sanjay in honor of his late son, he then “rescued” him by murdering the facility’s staff. While pursuing Sha, Gandhi unintentionally discovers Jeevan and takes him into custody. During interrogation, he seizes Sunil’s gun, seemingly kills him and forces Gandhi to escort him out, allowing Jeevan to escape. But when it is discovered that Sunil is still alive, he murders Kalyan.

Unaware that it is Gandhi’s ruse, Menon kidnaps Anu and divulges a bombing scheme. During interrogation, he seizes Sunil’s gun, seemingly kills him and forces Gandhi to escort him out, allowing Jeevan to escape. Moreover, Jeevan intends to frame Gandhi for treason and set off several bombs in the stadium. Fortunately, Gandhi is able to capture the detonator with the assistance of his brother-in-law Seenu and Jeevitha. Finally, Gandhi kills Jeevan and saves Jeevitha as he threatens to kill her.
